Middle English Literature and Culture
Course category2 ème Année
This course aims to question the stereotypical preconceptions about the Middle Ages; introduce premodern English literature, language, and culture; engage with contemporary approaches to Middle English literature with a focus on Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales; and explore the afterlife of premodern English literature in recent adaptations of The Canterbury Tales.
